Join CLEF-2025 CheckThat! Lab: 4 Tasks in Fact-Checking

Participate in the 2025 CLEF CheckThat! Lab with four tasks in fact-checking, including subjectivity detection, claim normalization, numerical claims verification, and scientific discourse processing.

The 2025 edition of the CheckThat! Lab at CLEF 2025 is now open for registration. This year, the lab features four tasks that are crucial for the fact-checking pipeline in multiple languages:

  • Task 1: Subjectivity in News Articles – Spot text that requires specific processing strategies in Arabic, English, Bulgarian, German, Italian, and Multilingual.
  • Task 2: Claim Normalization – Simplify claims from social media into concise forms in 20 languages.
  • Task 3: Fact-Checking Numerical Claims – Verify claims with numerical quantities and temporal expressions in Arabic, English, and Spanish.
  • Task 4: Scientific Web Discourse Processing (SciWeb) – Classify science-related online discourse and retrieve source papers in English.
