Join Scholars from Around the World at the Scholarly Migration and Mobility Symposium
The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research invites researchers to attend a one-day symposium on scholarly migration and mobility, taking place on October 15, 2024, in Rostock, Germany. This event aims to bring together interdisciplinary scientists from various fields, including data science, scientometrics, demography, sociology, and more, to discuss and exchange ideas on this important topic. Keynote speaker, Prof. Vincent Larivière from Université de Montréal, will be joining us for this exciting event.
All interested researchers are encouraged to submit their papers or extended abstracts (2-4 pages) by May 25, 2024 (12:00 am, CET). Relevant topics include, but are not limited to, scholarly migration patterns by country or region, collaboration networks, policy effects, and more. Selected presenters will be offered accommodation in Rostock for two nights and a limited number of travel grants will be available for presenting students or early career scientists.
