Join the 2nd CHAI Workshop on Communication in Human-AI Interaction

The Communication in Human-AI Interaction (CHAI) workshop, an interactive working group held in conjunction with the HHAI Conference in Malmö, Sweden, is now calling for paper submissions. This multidisciplinary event aims to gather researchers from AI, HRI, HCI, and other fields to explore the core characteristics of AI communicators and human-AI communication.

Submissions should focus on topics related to communication in human-AI interaction, such as concepts, theories, design, blended social contexts, multi-user interaction, embodied communication, verbal and non-verbal communication, collaboration, common ground, and inclusion and diversity in human-AI communication.

Formatting guidelines are available through IOS, and following SIGCHI accessibility guidelines is strongly encouraged. Submit your extended abstract (max. 6 pages) through EasyChair by April 10, 2024. Notification of acceptance will be sent on May 2, 2024, with the workshop taking place on June 10 or 11, 2024. Workshop proceedings will be collected through CEUR-WS, but authors can request their paper not to be included in the proceedings.

Organized by Jennifer Renoux, Jasmin Grosinger, Marta Romeo, Kiran M. Sabu, Kim Baraka, and Victor Kaptelinin, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to network, collaborate, and contribute to the growing field of human-AI interaction research.
