Join the Bayesian Neural Networks Project in Poland: Scholarships and Job Opportunities for Students and PhDs

We are looking for Ph.D. students and final-year postgrad students in computer science or mathematics to contribute to the advancements in Bayesian Neural Networks. The project is funded by the National Science Center and conducted within the Group of Machine Learning Research at the Jagiellonian University in Poland. Successful candidates will work on theoretical studies, model implementation, and experiments focusing on learning and priors for Bayesian Neural Networks. The scholarship amounts to up to PLN 5000 (approximately EUR 1250), raising the total doctoral student remuneration to PLN 8460 (approximately EUR 2000).

Requirements include basic programming skills in Python and PyTorch/TensorFlow/JAX, knowledge of modern machine learning techniques, fluency in English, and knowledge of modern probabilistic methods and applied statistics is a plus. The recruitment process for new doctoral candidates consists of two stages: first, contact the Principal Investigator at t.kusmierczyk at uj.edu.pl, and second, apply to the doctoral school at the Jagiellonian University by June 17, 2024 (Technical CS recruitment schedule) or June 23, 2024 (CS recruitment schedule).
