Join the DIS 2024 RoboCare Design Workshop: A Call for Participation
The DIS 2024 RoboCare Design Workshop is now accepting submissions for its one-day event focused on generating and operationalizing design knowledge for robotic systems in care settings. This workshop aims to bring together researchers and professionals from various disciplines, including design, robotics, and human-computer interaction, to discuss the challenges and opportunities in designing robots for care.
The workshop will feature keynote speakers, author presentations, a panel, and small/large group discussions. Keynote speakers include Dr. Selma Šabanović, an expert on socially interactive and assistive robots, and Dr. Christopher Frauenberger, an expert on working with stakeholders for robot design. The panel will include experts from Denmark’s healthcare and technology industries to provide insights into Danish initiatives for robots in healthcare.
Submissions are open to all, and while not required, they are highly encouraged. Short papers of 2-4 pages can be submitted using the ACM template, and submissions will be accepted until the general submission deadline of June 3, 2024.
The workshop will be held in-person at DIS’24 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is open to all interested participants. For more information, please visit the workshop website at https://sites.google.com/wisc.edu/robocaredesign or contact Laura Stegner at stegner@wisc.edu.
