Join the STEM Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a Postdoctoral Fellow
The STEM Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University is seeking highly qualified candidates for postdoctoral fellow positions. The lab focuses on cutting-edge research at the intersection of medical images and genetics, developing and applying AI technology to large medical images and genetic data for understanding brain development and aging, and precision psychiatry.
The lab has conducted various human studies on brain and cognitive development in children from birth to adulthood as well as brain aging. The lab has collected brain scans, cognitive and genetic data, as well as deep phenotypes of environmental factors of 60,000 subjects across multiple time points. The laboratory has great computing capacity, including multiple H100 and A100 GPU systems for deep learning, and computing clusters for large dataset processing.
The postdoctoral fellow will work on developing AI and geometric deep learning approaches, with issues to be explored including scalability, transfer, self-supervision, etc., in prediction, inference, and planning with applications in medical images.
The position offers a competitive salary (up to HKD 504,000 annually) and benefits. We will apply for VISA for applicants. Requirements include a Ph.D. with a good track record of publications at major machine learning, AI, or closely related conferences and journals, and good communication and writing skills in English.
