Join UCL’s research team as a Research Fellow/Postdoc in Speech Hearing and Phonetic Sciences and contribute to the development of a new microphone-array wearable audio recorder for measuring acoustic-phonetic input in speech learning. Apply by 11th January 2025.
We are delighted to announce a Research Fellow/Postdoc position in Speech Hearing and Phonetic Sciences at University College London. The project, titled Quantifying Phonetic Input in First- and Second-language Speech Learning, is led by Prof Paul Iverson and includes a team of experts from UCL and QMUL. The project aims to develop a new microphone-array wearable audio recorder and link it to the development of speech perception in babies and adults.
The position is primarily focused on the development of the recorder, AI techniques for examining input, and open-source dissemination of the code. It will also involve EEG testing and analysis, including infant testing. The position is initially for 2 years, with a start date of February 2025.
