The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Postdoc and a Full-time NLP Scientist to join Dr. Yanjun Gao’s lab. The lab is dedicated to developing and integrating cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI) to revolutionize real-world applications in medicine and health. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering team at the Department of Biomedical Informatics, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The position is based in Aurora, Colorado, and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring 2-3 days per week on campus.
As a Postdoc or NLP Scientist, you will be working on exciting projects, such as enhancing and evaluating large language models (LLMs) for diagnostic decision-making, optimizing LLM training for low-resource environments, and assessing model explainability. You will be working closely with a team of graduate students, postdocs, and other collaborators across the nation and the world to develop innovative AI models, create software tools, and establish robust data processing pipelines. Your contributions will directly impact the ongoing efforts to transform healthcare through AI.
