Call for papers for LAW-XIX, a workshop on linguistic annotation

The 19th Linguistic Annotation Workshop (LAW-XIX) invites submissions for its upcoming event, co-located with ACL 2025 in Vienna, Austria. This workshop will provide a platform for discussing innovative research on linguistic annotation, including creation and evaluation of annotation schemes, methods for automatic and manual annotation, and more.

The special theme of LAW-XIX is Subjectivity and variation in linguistic annotations. Key topics of interest include:

  • Subjectivity and human label variation in linguistic annotations
  • Learning from annotation disagreements
  • Detecting annotation noise in human label variation
