Learner Corpus Research Graduate Conference 2025: Call for Papers Extended to April 25, 2025
The Learner Corpus Research Graduate Conference 2025, organized by the Learner Corpus Association, has extended its abstract submission deadline to April 25, 2025. The virtual conference will take place on October 22-24, 2025, and is hosted by the Chair of English and Digital Linguistics, Chemnitz University of Technology.
The conference aims to provide a platform for MA and PhD students, as well as recent graduates, to discuss their ongoing projects and receive feedback from experts in the field. The central theme of the conference is ‘The Pattern Beneath,’ which highlights the unique role of learner corpus research in uncovering underlying structures and patterns of learner language.
Submissions are invited in various formats, including papers, work-in-progress papers, workshops, roundtable discussions, panel proposals, and posters. The conference features keynote speakers Prof. Dr. Randi Reppen, Prof. Dr. Michaela Mahlberg, and Dr. Dana Gablasova.
Important dates include the abstract submission deadline (April 25, 2025), notification of acceptance (June 10, 2025), and presenter registration deadline (June 15, 2025). Registration is free of charge, and sessions will be hosted on Zoom to ensure accessibility for participants worldwide.
Additional highlights of the conference include Ask-Me-Anything Panels, Research Consultation Clinics, interactive sessions connecting Early Career Researchers and Senior Academics, awards and recognitions for best paper and best poster, and soft skills workshops.
