Mathematical Insights into Deep Neural Networks: A Special Issue
A special issue on "Mathematical Understanding of Information Storage, Compression and Prediction in Neural Networks" is now open for submissions. This issue aims to shed light on the mathematical principles that govern deep neural networks, which are currently used as a "black box" with hidden inner workings. The issue is hosted by either Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience or Frontiers in Neuroinformatics, and welcomes submissions focusing on the mathematical analysis of deep neural networks, including their information-theoretic interpretation and statistical limits. The deadline for manuscript submission is 27 October 2024.
