MME@EACL’26: Call for Papers – Multilingual Multicultural Evaluation

MME@EACL’26 invites papers on multilingual multicultural evaluation, focusing on resources, metrics, and methodologies. Submission deadline: 19 Dec 2025.

The First Workshop on Multilingual Multicultural Evaluation (MME@EACL’26) is now calling for papers. Co-located with EACL, the workshop will take place on 28 or 29 March 2026 in Rabat, Morocco.

The workshop aims to bring together the community to address the evaluation of Large Language Models (LLMs) across multiple languages and cultures through three primary goals:

  • Establish a dedicated venue for multilingual evaluation, focusing on resources, metrics, and methodologies.
  • Advance and standardize evaluation practices for enhanced accuracy, scalability, fairness, and cross-system comparability.
  • Integrate cultural and social dimensions into multilingual evaluation.

Submissions are invited in ACL’s short or long format, either archival (ACL Anthology) or non-archival. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluation resources beyond English or Western-centric perspectives.
  • Annotation methodologies and standardized reporting.
  • Metrics and evaluation protocols for multilingual performance.
  • Sociocultural and cognitive variations affecting evaluation across languages.

Important dates:

  • Direct submission deadline: 19 Dec 2025
  • Pre-reviewed ARR submission deadline: 02 Jan 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: 23 Jan 2026
  • Camera-ready version due: 03 Feb 2026
