NeurIPS 2024 Workshop: Algorithmic Fairness through the Lens of Metrics and Evaluation

We are excited to announce the 5th NeurIPS Workshop on Algorithmic Fairness through the Lens of Metrics and Evaluation (AFME2024), taking place on December 14 or 15, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada. The workshop aims to explore the limitations of existing fairness definitions and evaluation techniques, and to spark discussions on revisiting algorithmic fairness metrics in light of advances in large language models and international regulation. We invite submissions on various topics, including failure modes of current fairness definitions, proposals for contextual fairness, and the development of fairness metrics for large generative models. Submissions are accepted in two tracks: a paper track (4-9 pages) and an extended abstract track (1 page). Dual submissions are allowed. The deadline for submission is Sep 12, 2024.
