The University of Florence is seeking motivated researchers for two academic positions in the field of Social Assistive Robotics and Human-Robot Interaction. The selected candidates will join the BioRobotics and Biomedical Laboratory team under the PNRR "FitMedRob" project. The positions are for a postdoc researcher and an assistant researcher, with a focus on social robotics, human-robot interaction, and AI. The researchers will be working on innovative biomedical applications, including early diagnosis, disease assessment, rehabilitation, monitoring, and therapeutic adaptation.
The key responsibilities of the researchers include pursuing an outstanding track record of published research, promoting high research impact, and working in a multi-disciplinary research team. The candidates should have programming skills in C/C++, Python, and Robot Operating System (ROS / ROS2). Knowledge or experience in using machine learning and deep learning libraries, developing applications on physical or simulated robots, and control and automation is a plus.
The postdoc researcher position has a duration of 1 year, with an annual gross salary of 28.000€, and the assistant researcher position has a duration of 1 year, with an annual gross salary of 26.500€. The deadline for applications is November 7, 2024, and the positions are tentatively set to start from December 2024.
