New Opportunity: 2nd Call for Participation in ISWC-LLMs4OL 2024 Challenge – Advancing the Role of Large Language Models in Ontology Learning

Dear colleagues and friends,

We invite you to join the 2nd Call for Participation in the ISWC-LLMs4OL 2024 Challenge, collocated with The International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC 2024). This challenge aims to build upon the LLMs4OL paradigm introduced in the ISWC 2023 main conference proceedings, which tested the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) in Ontology Learning (OL).

With the ISWC-LLMs4OL 2024 challenge, we aim to foster community-wide engagement and expand the use of LLMs in OL. By publicly releasing evaluation datasets, we hope to advance our understanding of LLMs’ roles within the Semantic Web, encourage innovation, and promote collaboration in developing scalable and accurate OL methods.

This challenge consists of two evaluation phases: Evaluation Phase 1: Few-shot Testing, and Evaluation Phase 2: Zero-shot Testing. The training datasets will be available on March 30, 2024, and test data for Task A will be released on May 27, 2024. The evaluation for Task A ends on June 4, 2024, and test data for Tasks B & C will be available on June 5, 2024, with evaluations ending on June 18, 2024. Participant papers are due on June 28, 2024, and notifications to authors will be sent on July 19, 2024. The camera-ready deadline is July 30, 2024. The ISWC 2024 conference will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, from November 11-15, 2024.

This challenge is organized by Hamed Babaei Giglou, Jennifer D’Souza, and Sören Auer from TIB Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology in Germany.

Join us in this exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of LLMs in Ontology Learning and be part of the Semantic Web community!
