New Opportunity: Postdoctoral Fellowship in AI and Medical Images at Hong Kong Polytechnic University
The STEM Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine at Hong Kong Polytechnic University invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellow positions. The lab focuses on groundbreaking research at the intersection of medical images and genetics, utilizing AI technology to analyze large medical images and genetic data for a deeper understanding of brain development and aging, and precision psychiatry.
In recent years, the lab has conducted extensive human studies on brain and cognitive development in children and adults, as well as brain aging. With a massive dataset of brain scans, cognitive and genetic data, deep phenotypes of environmental factors, and advanced computing capacity, including multiple H100 and A100 GPU systems for deep learning and computing clusters for large dataset processing, the lab has published over 180 peer-reviewed journal papers, with 87% of them appearing in the top 10% of peer-reviewed journals like Nature Neuroscience, Nature, Nature Mental Health, PNAS, Medical Image Analysis, IEEE Transactions on Medical Image, Neuroimage, etc.
The successful candidate will work on developing AI and geometric deep learning approaches, focusing on issues such as imbalanced data, scalability, transfer, and self-supervision in prediction, inference, and planning, with applications in medical images.
The position offers a competitive salary (up to HKD 504,000 annually) and benefits. The lab will apply for VISA for the selected applicant.
Qualifications: Ph.D. with a strong publication record in machine learning, AI, or related fields.
Requirements: Ph.D. with a proven track record of publications at major machine learning, AI, or related conferences and journals.
