New Opportunity: Research Fellowship in Object Tracking for First-Person and Third-Person Videos at University of Udine, Italy
The University of Udine, Italy, invites applications for a fully funded research fellowship position in the field of Object Tracking for First-Person and Third-Person Videos. The successful candidate will join the Machine Learning and Perception Lab (MLP Lab) under the supervision of Prof. Christian Micheloni and Dr. Matteo Dunnhofer.
The research fellowship is associated with the PRIN project EXTRA-EYE, which aims to develop innovative object tracking algorithms for both first-person egocentric and third-person videos. The project combines state-of-the-art deep learning architectures for third-person tracking with first-person-specific cues such as user hand positions to create a robust and efficient tracking approach.
The position is for a duration of 14 months and requires a master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Science Engineering. Previous experience in Computer Vision and Deep Learning is highly desirable. The MLP research group offers a friendly and supportive research environment with a strong focus on Object Tracking and Re-Identification, and Distributed Camera Systems.
The MLP group has a track record of successful research projects and publications in prestigious venues. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply before May 28, 2024, by visiting the following link: https://titulus-uniud.cineca.it/albo/viewer?view=files/002546622-UNUD001-9f510082-1e2e-4d22-8426-dcaaf0d1ed5a-002.pdf
