New Speech Corpora Added to ELRA Catalogue of Language Resources

The European Language Resources Association (ELRA) has announced the addition of 28 new speech corpora to its catalogue. These corpora, recorded in a quiet environment (except for Hindi Mobile and American English which are recorded in a noisy environment), are available for various languages including Arabic, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Pashto, Portuguese, Telugu, Thai, and Urdu. Additionally, English and Spanish variants are also available.

The ELRA catalogue offers a wide range of language resources for various purposes such as speech recognition, natural language processing, and machine learning. The new additions are expected to further enhance the catalogue’s offerings and provide researchers and developers with more options for their projects.
