The Notre Dame-IBM Technology Ethics Lab is inviting proposals for projects that address the challenges of effective human-AI collaboration in real-world settings. The lab is looking for innovative projects that can inform, explore, and enhance human-AI collaboration efforts, with the aim of leveraging AI to augment human tasks and ensure that these collaborations are ethical, inclusive, and beneficial to society. Successful applications will propose a defined deliverable and may receive up to $60,000 in award funding. The deadline for applications is October 31, 2024.

The lab, a key element of the Notre Dame Ethics Initiative, promotes interdisciplinary research, thought, and policy leadership in artificial intelligence and other technology ethics. It is sponsored by IBM through a 10-year, $20-million investment.
