PhD Fellowships in Natural Language Understanding at University of Copenhagen
The University of Copenhagen’s Natural Language Understanding Research Group is offering PhD fellowships in Spring or Autumn 2026. Apply by 31 October 2025 for fully funded positions in Explainable NLP and Trustworthy NLP.
The Natural Language Understanding Research Group at the University of Copenhagen is recruiting PhD students for Spring or Autumn 2026.
Three PhD fellowships are available:
- A fully funded 3-year PhD fellowship on ‘Explainable Natural Language Understanding’ starting Spring 2026 as part of the ExplainYourself project. Supervisors: Isabelle Augenstein and Pepa Atanasova. Apply by 31 October 2025.
- A fully funded 3-year PhD fellowship in ‘Trustworthy Natural Language Processing’ starting 1st March 2026. Supervisors: Pepa Atanasova and Isabelle Augenstein. Apply by 31 October 2025.
- For Autumn 2026, candidates can apply for the ELLIS PhD programme here by 31 October 2025, naming Isabelle Augenstein as a supervisor.
