PhD Opportunity in Generative AI for Rainfall Extremes Modelling at Edinburgh, UK
Apply for a fully-funded PhD position at the Edinburgh Earth, Ecology and Environment Engagement Doctoral Training Partnership to work on a project using generative AI for stochastic generation of UK rainfall extremes. Collaboration with the Schools of Mathematics and Geosciences at The University of Edinburgh and the UK Met Office.
The Edinburgh Earth, Ecology and Environment Engagement Doctoral Training Partnership (E5 DTP) is recruiting for its 2025 cohort and has a fully-funded PhD position available for a project on stochastic generation of UK rainfall extremes using generative AI. The project is a collaboration between the Schools of Mathematics and Geosciences at The University of Edinburgh and the UK Met Office. If you are interested, please contact Jordan Richards (jordan.richards@ed.ac.uk) for more information.
