PhD opportunity in NLP and Computational Linguistics at Inria Paris and Télécom Paris
Inria Paris and Télécom Paris are offering a fully-funded PhD position in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computational Linguistics. The project aims to develop automatic analysis of human ability to collaborate in dyadic and group conversations for educational applications. The successful candidate will work on hybridizing neural and symbolic models to analyze and control the level of collaborations between participants in conversations, focusing on educational applications such as classroom dynamics, student engagement analysis, and conversational systems for supporting students with difficulties or learning social skills.
The offer is open to non-French speakers, and prospective candidates are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible. The thesis will be supervised by Chloé Clavel, senior researcher at Inria Paris, and Maria Boritchev, associate professor at Télécom Paris.
