Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, experience with machine learning, deep learning, and statistics, good knowledge of English in both speech and writing, capacity to work independently and in teams, industrial experience is welcome.
Responsibilities: The PhD student will work with Professor Elisa Barney on computer vision research using Machine Learning and Image Processing on historical documents. Potential techniques include unsupervised learning, one-shot learning, and quick system adaptation. Document comparison and retrieval are also topics of interest.
