PhD Position in Dialogue-Based Information Access
Join IRIT’s PhD program in Dialogue-Based Information Access and contribute to the GUIDANCE project, a collaborative effort to enhance open and free LLMs with a knowledge retriever.
IRIT, a leading research institute in Toulouse, France, is seeking a talented PhD candidate to join their team in developing innovative Dialogue-Based Information Access systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the GUIDANCE project, a collaborative effort between Sorbonne Université, CNRS, and other esteemed institutions.
The project focuses on enhancing open and free Large Language Models (LLMs) with a knowledge retriever that accesses a vast corpus of documents. The PhD thesis will explore the design of a retrieve-generate model to support DbIA systems and define evaluation methodologies to measure the effect of retrieve-generate based models.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in natural language processing, machine learning, and information retrieval. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge research and collaborate with a talented team of researchers.
- Design and train Dialogue-Based Information Access systems
- Develop new techniques to train and evaluate DbIA models using the ReML framework
- Explore the use of retrieved texts as context for LLM input sentences
Apply now and take the first step towards contributing to this groundbreaking project!
