PhD position in reinforcement learning and multi-agent reinforcement learning at the University of Edinburgh
The University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University, and Leonardo Ltd are offering a PhD position in reinforcement learning and multi-agent reinforcement learning. The project is part of the Leonardo Prosperity Partnership, a £3.3m partnership addressing state-of-the-art design and engineering challenges. The successful applicant will be supervised by Dr. Stefano V. Albrecht and Dr. Ignacio Carlucho and will work on topics related to robotics and autonomous systems, reinforcement learning, and multi-agent reinforcement learning.
The offer includes a stipend higher than the standard UK Research Council rate (£20,716 per year) for 3.5 years, covering the full cost of tuition fees and an allowance for research-related travel. Applicants should have a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in robotics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field and should not require an ATAS certificate to study in the UK.
