PhD Position: Language Modeling and Machine Learning at Department of Language Science and Technology

We are offering a PhD position in Language Modeling and Machine Learning at the Department of Language Science and Technology at Saarland Informatics Campus. The position is 75% of full time on the German E13 scale which is about 3292€ per month before tax and social security contributions. The appointments will be for three years with a possible extension at 50% for a fourth year.

The Department of Language Science and Technology at Saarland Informatics Campus is announcing a PhD position in Language Modeling and Machine Learning. The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of Language Models, machine learning, and deep learning. They should also have excellent programming skills and successful experiences working both independently and as part of a small team. The position is 75% of full time on the German E13 scale (TV-L) which is about 3292€ per month before tax and social security contributions. The appointments will be for three years with a possible extension at 50% for a fourth year.
