PhD Positions in Deep Learning for Genomic Data Analysis
Two PhD positions available for developing deep learning techniques for genomic data analysis. Fully funded for 4 years, starting October 2025.
Two fully funded PhD positions are available in a collaborative project between the University of Liège’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Unit of Animal Genomics, and the Translational Plant Biology Lab. The project focuses on developing interpretable deep learning techniques for genomic data analysis in plants and animals.
- Key areas of research include explainable AI, knowledge-guided deep learning, and deep learning-based gene regulatory network inference.
- Applications will be considered from candidates with a background in machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer science, data modelling, or animal/plant genomics.
- The positions are funded for 4 years, starting October 1st, 2025, and applications will be reviewed regularly from September 1st, 2025.
To apply, send your C.V., a letter of interest, and a list of referees to p.geurts@uliege.be, tom.druet@uliege.be, and vahuynh@uliege.be.
