PhD Studentship: Quantitative Modelling of Cognitive Function at University of Edinburgh
Fully funded PhD studentship in quantitative modelling of cognitive function at University of Edinburgh, with a focus on executive functions and machine learning methods.
A fully funded PhD studentship is available in the area of quantitative modelling of cognitive function at the University of Edinburgh. The project will be situated within the Centre for AI for Assistive Autonomy, a mission-driven research centre established using a UKRI Turing AI World Leading Researcher Fellowship.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with colleagues in a wide range of specialties across the University, including machine learning and vision, probabilistic programming, natural language understanding and interaction, computational cognitive science and neuroscience, and robotics and neurotechnology.
The scientific focus will be on quantitatively modelling cognitive functions, with a focus on executive functions in healthy individuals and in individuals with varying degrees of impairment. This will require a combination of cognitive modelling and the use of state-of-the-art machine learning methods.
Interested candidates should send an email with their CV to caa-phd-recruitment@ed.ac.uk and follow the instructions on the web page to complete the formal application, indicating their interest in the project and supervisor.
