Post-Doctoral Researcher Opportunity in Migration and Health Inequalities at Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research
Explore the opportunity to join the ERC-funded Research Group on Migration and Health Inequalities at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research as a Post-Doctoral Researcher. Contribute to research on health disparities between immigrants and non-immigrants.
The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) is seeking to appoint a full-time post-doctoral researcher to join the ERC-funded Research Group on Migration and Health Inequalities. The group, led by Silvia Loi, focuses on the question: Why do immigrants age in poorer health compared to non-immigrants? The successful candidate will contribute to research in one or more of the following areas: quantifying gaps in healthy aging, identifying critical events affecting immigrants’ health, and studying the impact of family composition on health inequalities.
MPIDR offers an excellent research environment and remuneration based on the German public sector (approx. 57,000 – 70,000 EUR gross per year). Applications should be submitted by October 31, 2024, and must include a motivation letter, CV, writing example, and contact information for referees. The MPIDR values diversity and encourages applications from underrepresented groups, women, and individuals with disabilities.
