Post-Doctoral Researcher or Statistical Analyst Position at Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research

The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Germany is seeking to appoint a full-time post-doctoral researcher or statistical analyst to join the Department of Social Demography and the associated Research Group on Labor Demography. The successful candidate will work on a project involving multistate modeling in demography and will have access to excellent infrastructure and exciting datasets.

The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) in Germany is seeking to appoint a full-time post-doctoral researcher or statistical analyst to join the Department of Social Demography and the associated Research Group on Labor Demography. The successful candidate will work on a project involving multistate modeling in demography and will have tasks including programming statistical software, potentially extending multistate approaches, and applying existing and new multistate methods. Knowledge of R and Stata, as well as experience with longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, or labor market research, is an advantage. The MPIDR offers a stimulating research-oriented community, excellent infrastructure, and opportunities to work with exciting datasets. The successful applicant will be offered a contract for up to 4 years with remuneration based on experience, and support for relocation costs is available.
