Postdoc Position: Self-Tuning Algorithms for Hyperparameter-Free Optimization

A fully funded 2-year postdoctoral position is available in the MALT team at Inria Rennes, supervised by Paul Viallard and Romaric Gaudel. The position focuses on designing and analyzing optimization algorithms that adapt their hyperparameters during training.

Key responsibilities include:

• Theoretical development of online learning mechanisms
• Empirical validation on real and synthetic tasks
• Potential integration into widely used ML libraries
