Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Reinforcement Learning and AI Research
Join our team as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Reinforcement Learning and AI Research at the University of Alberta, supervised by Dr. Osmar Zaïane.
We are excited to announce an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta, supervised by Dr. Osmar Zaïane. This position offers an opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research at the intersection of reinforcement learning (RL), large language and vision models (LLMs/VLMs), continual learning, and generative flow networks (GFlowNets).
Our work focuses on:
- Integrating LLMs/VLMs into RL, enabling more effective planning, autonomous reasoning, and interactive decision-making for human-centric robotic systems.
- Continual Reinforcement Learning, developing adaptive lifelong learning techniques for autonomous agents operating in dynamic environments, including robotic skill acquisition and safety-aware adaptation.
- Generative Flow Networks (GFlowNets) for Robotic Fault Adaptation, advancing AI research in dynamic environments.
Come join us to contribute to state-of-the-art AI research in a world-class academic and research environment.
Dr. Osmar Zaïane and the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii) invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
