Postdoctoral Position in Machine Learning for Large-Scale Surgical Video Datasets at Duke University
The Surgical Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Laboratory, Department of Surgery, Duke University, is seeking a talented postdoctoral candidate with expertise in computer vision and machine learning. The project aims to revolutionize surgical video understanding through large-scale machine learning. Candidates should have a strong background in probability and inference, machine learning, and computer vision. They should also have publications in relevant venues and be eager to explore how computational methods can improve surgical processes.
The position offers the opportunity to work with novel datasets that combine streaming surgical data with clinical outcomes and procedural quality. The goal is to significantly redefine the delivery and quality of surgical care in both resource-rich and resource-poor settings. Interested candidates should contact Guy Rosman at rosman@csail.mit.edu, in collaboration with Larry Carin and Ozanan Meireles. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
