Postdoctoral Research Associate Position at Cardiff University and the University of Tokyo on Machine Learning for Gravitational Waves

Cardiff University’s Gravity Exploration Institute and the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research at the University of Tokyo are seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position. The successful applicant will develop rapid and accurate characterization of gravitational-wave signals from black holes and neutron stars using deep learning. Expertise in CNN, Normalising Flows, and Bayesian Neural Networks is particularly relevant. The appointment will be based at Cardiff University, with significant periods of time at the University of Tokyo. The start date is flexible. The position is full-time and fixed term until March 2027. Salary: £39,347 per annum.
