The Robotics Department in the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on a Human-Robot Interaction project funded by DARPA. The successful candidate will work with Professor Patricia Alves-Oliveira in the Robot Studio research lab, and will be responsible for producing research results, publishing high-quality engineering journals, traveling to conferences and DARPA events, and being an active part of the lab culture.

Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Robotics or a related field, experience with mechatronics, ROS, real-time embedded systems, programming in languages such as Python and C/C++, machine learning theory, and human subject testing. The position is full-time, fixed-term for 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on mutual satisfaction. The deadline for applications is 30 November 2024.
