Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Computational Literary Studies at University of Stuttgart

The Department of English Literatures and Cultures at the University of Stuttgart is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Literary Studies for a three-year position starting on October 1, 2024. The successful candidate will contribute to the LitAttention project, which explores the connection between short fiction and theories of attention, and develop computational models to identify and explain patterns of attention in short fiction. The position is open to candidates with a PhD in Computational Literary Studies, Digital Humanities, Computational Linguistics, or an adjacent field, who have experience with corpus-based analysis of texts, computational modelling, and excellent language skills in English. The University of Stuttgart offers a family-friendly environment, flexible working hours, and a fixed-term contract in salary group TV-L 13.
