Lancaster University is seeking an exceptional Professor of Mathematical AI to lead a world-class research group at the interface of dynamical mathematical modelling and AI methods.

The successful candidate will drive the formation and strategic direction of the new centre for research and teaching within the School of Mathematical Sciences, MARS (Mathematics for AI in Real-world Systems).

Key responsibilities include leading cutting-edge research, shaping undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations.
