Professor Position in Neurosymbolic AI at KU Leuven

KU Leuven is looking for a Professor in Neurosymbolic Artificial Intelligence (AI). The deadline for applications is September 4, 2024. More information can be found here.

Neurosymbolic AI combines learning and reasoning, and combines subsymbolic with symbolic inference mechanisms. This approach is essential for enabling cognitive systems, which combine unconscious and conscious processes. The research program of the new Professor will be internationally relevant and build on, broaden, and complement current AI research in the Declarative Languages and Artificial Intelligence department.

The successful candidate will publish at the highest scientific level, obtain competitive research funding, and supervise doctorates of an international quality level. The candidate will also endorse the international research strategy and contribute to the further strengthening of DTAI’s scientific reputation by taking on a key role in the network of scientific and international collaborations in the above-mentioned research domain.
