Submissions are open for the RLDM 2025 Workshop on Saving the Phenomena of Minds, exploring the intersection of RL, mental phenomena, and philosophy of science.
Submissions are now open for the RLDM 2025 Workshop: Saving the Phenomena of Minds, to be held at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland on June 12th, 2025. The deadline for submissions is April 18th, 2025.
The workshop will explore the intersection of Reinforcement Learning (RL), mental phenomena, and the philosophy of science. We welcome papers up to three content pages (excluding title page, references, acknowledgements, and appendices) on the following topics:
- Modeling and explaining the Mind:
- Mental processes, behaviors, and experiences in nature.
- RL as a framework to model and explain these phenomena.
- Validation of scientific models.
- Artificial Intelligence and the Mind:
- Principles of intelligence in natural and artificial systems.
- Assessing the validity of AI theories.
- Ethical considerations in artificial systems.
- Philosophical and methodological considerations:
- Conceptual and mathematical models of mental phenomena.
- Individuality and universality of mind phenomena.
- Historical evolution of mind science.
