Second Workshop on Multimodal Semantic Representations at ECAI 2024

The Second Workshop on Multimodal Semantic Representations (MMSR II) will be held in conjunction with ECAI 2024, the 26th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence, in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The workshop will take place on October 19 or 20, 2024, and will focus on the challenges and opportunities of multimodal semantic representation in natural human-computer and human-robot interactions.

The workshop aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from various disciplines, including artificial intelligence, natural language processing, cognitive science, and human-computer interaction, to discuss and share their experiences, ideas, and solutions for multimodal semantic representation. The workshop welcomes contributions on various topics, such as semantic frameworks for individual linguistic co-modalities, formal representation of situated conversation and embodiment, design, annotation, and corpora of multimodal interaction, challenges in multimodal representation and processing, criteria or frameworks for evaluation of multimodal semantics, and virtual and situated agents that embody multimodal representations of common ground.

The workshop invites two types of submissions: long papers (up to 8 pages) and short papers (up to 4 pages). Both types of papers will be published in the workshop proceedings. The submission deadline is May 15, 2024, and the notification of acceptance decisions will be on July 1, 2024. The camera-ready papers are due on August 2, 2024.
