SoGood 2024: Workshop on Data Science for Social Good at ECML-PKDD 2024

The SoGood 2024 workshop, affiliated with ECML-PKDD 2024, aims to bring together papers that showcase applications of Data Science for Social Good. The workshop hopes to attract papers that may or may not require new methods, but take into account social aspects of Data Science methods and techniques. The deadline for paper submission is 15 June 2024, and accepted papers will be published by Springer as joint proceedings of several ECML PKDD workshops.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, government transparency, public safety, access to basic needs, climate change, data journalism, social and personal development, economic growth, transportation, energy, smart city services, education, social services, healthcare, support for people living with disabilities, responsible consumption, gender equality, ethical issues, trustability, interpretability, and topics aligned with the UN development goals. The workshop also encourages submissions from successful projects that may not be strictly non-profit but have Social Good as their main focus.
