Special Collection on Data-Driven History of Ideas at Journal of Open Humanities Data

The Journal of Open Humanities Data (JOHD) is inviting submissions for a special collection on the Data-Driven History of Ideas (DDHI). This collection will be edited by Arianna Betti and Hein van den Berg. The deadline for abstract submissions is 1st June 2024, and the full papers are due on 1st December 2024.

The DDHI special collection aims to showcase the potential of data-driven methods in the humanities, focusing on the history of ideas. The collection will include articles that use data-driven approaches to explore the development and transmission of ideas over time, as well as those that critically reflect on the methods and assumptions of data-driven research in the humanities.

We welcome submissions from scholars in all areas of the humanities, including history, philosophy, literature, linguistics, and cultural studies. To submit a paper, please visit the JOHD website (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-open-humanities-data) and follow the instructions for authors. For more information about the special collection, please contact the guest editors at arianna.betti@vu.nl or h.vandenberg@uu.nl.
