Special Issue on Advancing Transparency and Privacy in Biometrics and Computer Vision

A special issue of Image and Vision Computing focuses on the themes of Explainable AI and Synthetic Data in the context of biometrics and computer vision. The goal is to promote research that enhances transparency and privacy in these fields. Submissions are invited on topics such as responsible image synthesis, generative models, AI explanations, causal learning, synthetic medical data, biometric data synthesis, natural language explanations, AI transparency, learning from synthetic data, and fairness enhancement with synthetic data. The submission deadline is Feb 7, 2025. Guest editors are Lucia Cascone, Zilong Huang, Pedro C. Neto, and Ana F. Sequeira.
