Special Issue on Computational Methodologies for Sound and Musical Cultural Heritage Preservation

A special issue of the journal Heritage is inviting submissions for original research articles, reviews, and case studies on the topic of Computational Methodologies Supporting the Preservation, Access and Re-use of Sound and Musical Cultural Heritage. The deadline for submission is October 31, 2024. The issue aims to highlight the latest technologies and methodologies used in the preservation, access, and re-use of sound and musical cultural heritage. Research areas of interest include but are not limited to Artificial Intelligence, Computational Musicology, Human-Computer Interaction, Internet of Musical Things, Music Information Retrieval, Preservation of Analog Recordings and Musical Instruments, Sustainability of Sound and Musical Cultural Heritage, and Virtual, Augmented, or Mixed Reality. The journal Heritage is a peer-reviewed open-access journal that was indexed in ESCI and Scopus in 2021 and received its first CiteScore in 2022, ranking it Q1 in the Archeology and Conservation categories. The special issue is edited by Dr. Niccolò Pretto from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, and Prof. Sergio Canazza from the University of Padova, Italy.
