The Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society (JBCS) invites submissions for a special issue on Language Models for Portuguese. The submission deadline is March 1, 2025. Topics of interest include the use, creation, adaptation, and evaluation of language models for Portuguese. The special issue aims to gather research on the most diverse applications of language models for Portuguese and other languages.
Call for Papers: Special Issue on Language Models for Portuguese
The Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society (JBCS) invites submissions for a special issue on Language Models for Portuguese. The submission deadline is March 1, 2025, and the review deadline (1st round) is April 30, 2025. The submission of revised version deadline is May 31, 2025, and the review deadline (2nd round) is June 30, 2025. The submission of revised version deadline is July 31, 2025, and the decision deadline (rejection, acceptance) is August 2025. The camera-ready submission deadline is September 2025, and the publication is in October 2025.
Topics of interest include the use, creation, adaptation, and evaluation of language models for Portuguese. Comparative and critical analyses of language models are also welcome. The special issue aims to gather research on the most diverse applications of language models for Portuguese and other languages.
The submission must be written in English, and the authors should follow the author guidelines of the JBCS. The submission for this special issue will be opened soon and will be made through the JBCS website.
