Submit to the Special Issue of the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies on Re-centering the User in Recommender System Research

The International Journal of Human-Computer Studies (IJHCS) invites researchers to submit their work to the special issue on Re-centering the User in Recommender System Research.

This special issue aims to bring together researchers from computer science, human-computer interaction, psychology, and ethics to foster collaboration and create systems that prioritize user welfare, ethical standards, and societal impact. Contributions may range from user-centric evaluation strategies to dynamic recommendation processes and conversational interaction for enhanced personalization.

Topics of interest include user control, trustworthiness, explanation and transparency, bias and fairness, psychological aspects of recommendation, conversational and user-driven RSs, user studies, and user interface design. The submission deadline is September 15th, 2024.
