Synthetic Images Special Issue in Pattern Recognition Letters

The Pattern Recognition Letters journal has announced a special issue on Synthetic Images to Support Computer-Aided Diagnosis Systems. The submission period is from July 1st to July 31st, 2024. The issue aims to bring together diverse and impactful research on synthetic data generation for biomedical imaging, with a focus on improving Computer-Aided Diagnosis systems for real-world clinical applications. Topics of interest include synthetic images for privacy-preserving diagnosis systems, training and benchmarking diagnosis systems, medical image translation, and domain adaptation and generalization. The guest editors are Andrea Loddo, Lorenzo Putzu, Cecilia Di Ruberto, Carsten Marr, Albert Comelli, and Alessandro Stefano.
