Synthetic Images to Support Computer-Aided Diagnosis Systems Special Issue

The Pattern Recognition Letters journal is inviting researchers to submit their papers to the special issue on "Synthetic Images to Support Computer-Aided Diagnosis Systems". The submission period is from July 1st to July 31st, 2024. The special issue aims to bring together new and impactful research on synthetic data generation for biomedical imaging and its powerful impact on Computer-Aided Diagnosis systems for real-world clinical applications.

Topics of interest include Synthetic Images for Privacy-Preserving Computer-Aided Diagnosis Systems, Computer-Aided Diagnosis Systems Training with Synthetic Images, Synthetic Images for Benchmarking Computer-Aided Diagnosis Systems, Medical Image Translation, Text-guided Medical Image Generation, Multimodal Medical Image Generation, Synthetic Images for Computer-Aided Diagnosis Systems Domain Adaptation, and Synthetic Images for Computer-Aided Diagnosis Systems Domain Generalisation.

Submissions should be made through the PRL’s submission system (Editorial Manager®) and should be selected as the article type VSI: SISCAD. The guest editors for this special issue are Andrea Loddo, Lorenzo Putzu, Cecilia Di Ruberto, Carsten Marr, Albert Comelli, and Alessandro Stefano.
