Synthetic Realities and Biometric Security: Advances in Forensic Analysis and Threat Mitigation Workshop at BMVC’25

The Synthetic Realities and Biometric Security (SRBS) workshop, held at the 2024 British Machine Vision Conference (BMVC), is calling for papers. With recent advancements in deep learning algorithms, such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Diffusion models, there has been a surge in the creation of highly realistic images and videos, often indistinguishable from genuine content. These developments have both benefited the entertainment industry and been used to spread misinformation. In the security domain, synthetic and manipulated images and videos are frequently utilized to impersonate individuals, enabling unauthorized parties to bypass systems for biometric authentication. The SRBS workshop aims to address these challenges by exploring advances in forensic analysis and threat mitigation. The paper submission deadline is August 4, 2024, 11:59pm PST.
