Title: IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing – Special Issue on Affective Robotics

Description: The IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing has announced a special issue on Affective Robotics, inviting scholars to submit their research on theoretical studies, computational models, and case studies in the field. The special issue aims to explore the role of a body in an affective robot, cognitive robotics and affective robotics, software and hardware issues, learning and developmental approaches, symbolic and neural representations, language and learning models, theory of mind, measurements and assessments of emotions, ethical and trust issues, empirical studies, and industrial applications of affective robotics. The submission deadline has been extended to June 30, 2024, with an expected publication date at the end of 2024. The guest editors for this special issue are Angelo Cangelosi from the University of Manchester, Antonio Chella from the Università degli Studi di Palermo, Cinzia Di Dio from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and Silvia Rossi from the University of Naples Federico II.
